UMT Launches Human Resources (HR) Management Concentration under BBA

ARLINGTON, Virginia, November 2, 2007

DETC recently approved UMT to enroll students in the HR Management area of concentration under the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. HR management plays an important role that contributes to the success of organizations of any size. Students who are inspired to become HR/personnel specialists or managers will benefit from the HR concentration of study.

BBA students who choose the HR concentration must take Mgt 102 Legal Environment of Business, Psy 100 Psychology I and Psy 101 Psychology II as pre-requisites, as well as the following five courses:

Mgt 131. Organizational Behavior
Mgt 132. Human Resource Management
Mgt 133. Organizational Communication
Mgt 135. Leadership
Soc 103. Business & Society
